1. WHO WE ARE
Language Lab is a product of Gain The Lead Pte. Ltd. ("GTL", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Singapore. We provide neuroscience-based communication scoring tools for professionals, mediators, and leaders.
2. WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
When you use Language Lab, we collect:
- Account information: Name and email address (provided during registration)
- Scoring data: The sentences you submit for scoring, the resulting scores, and generated alternatives
- Usage data: Session timestamps, feature usage patterns (no IP addresses or device fingerprints)
3. HOW WE PROCESS YOUR SENTENCES
When you submit a sentence for scoring, it is sent to a large language model (LLM) API for analysis. This is how the NC/NA scoring is calculated. Important privacy safeguards:
- Your sentences are not used to train any AI model
- The API provider processes your sentence and returns the score — the sentence is then discarded from their servers within 30 days (or immediately with zero-retention configuration)
- Your sentences are never shared with, sold to, or accessible by any third party, advertising network, or public internet service
- We store your scoring history in our database solely so you can review your past sessions — you may request deletion at any time
4. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We use your data exclusively to:
- Provide the NC/NA scoring service
- Display your scoring history within your account
- Improve the accuracy and reliability of the scoring engine
- Send you service-related communications (account verification, service updates)
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the Language Lab service.
5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
- All data is stored on encrypted servers with TLS 1.2+ in transit
- Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only
- We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure
6. YOUR RIGHTS
Under the applicable data protection laws of your jurisdiction, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Delete your personal data and scoring history
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
- Port your data to another service
- Object to processing of your personal data

7. REGIONAL COMPLIANCE
Language Lab is designed to comply with the data protection laws of the following jurisdictions:
SINGAPORE — PDPA
We comply with the PDPA's obligations regarding consent, purpose limitation, accuracy, protection, retention limitation, transfer limitation, and access and correction.
INDONESIA — PDP LAW (NO. 27 OF 2022)
We comply with Indonesia's PDP Law, including the rights of data subjects to access, correct, delete, and withdraw consent. Cross-border data transfers are conducted in accordance with Article 56.
MALAYSIA — PDPA 2010
We adhere to the seven data protection principles under Malaysia's PDPA: General, Notice and Choice, Disclosure, Security, Retention, Data Integrity, and Access.
THAILAND — PDPA B.E. 2562
We comply with Thailand's PDPA, including the requirement for a lawful basis for processing, data subject rights, and cross-border transfer safeguards.
PHILIPPINES — DATA PRIVACY ACT OF 2012
We comply with the Philippines' Data Privacy Act and the implementing rules of the National Privacy Commission.
8. DATA RETENTION
We retain your scoring history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
- LLM API — For NC/NA scoring analysis (sentences processed with zero-retention policy, not used for training)
- Manus OAuth — For secure authentication
We do not use any advertising, analytics, or tracking services that collect personal data.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through a notice on the Language Lab platform.
